Fall Break

My kids have all taken leave of their senses... Everyone is so excited because they have the next two days off of school! Gone are the days of going to school for 7 weeks and then having the next two weeks off, so they are now just absolutely thrilled to have the least little bit of time off.

Unfortunately, their fall break coincides with Josh leaving for Boston for a couple of days for work. So, it is me with the 5 kids and the dog... I enjoyed a wonderful day today though by having a long, leisurely lunch with my friends. I was persuaded to make and bring the dessert for the lunch but the other food was provided by my French friend, Gaelle. Everything was delicious and just like my days in France, we all enjoyed a glass of wine for lunch. Can't beat that! Tomorrow, we will drive up to the Ft Wayne vicinity for the day to see my mom and dad and Josh's grandmother. Leo hasn't seen northern Indiana/Ohio yet. Hope the excitement isn't too much for him to bear!
