The winter sports season officially started today. I began my coaching career by coaching the swim team in dry land strength and conditioning. We spent an hour together at the Y after school and everything seemed to go well. Tabitha started her basketball practices and Leo's basketball coach had a meeting with the parents. Leo is the absolute bottom of the team but the coach says that he won't cut him, he will just ask that he only come to some practices (so he's not in the way!) and that he not expect to play much at all in any game! Whew! Leo still doesn't think that he is anything but great and still thinks that he should be playing Varsity. I explained as much as I could to him, now it is up to the coach to the do the rest. We also had a Mass to kick off this next athletic season and bless all of our athletes.
Missing Quincy.... Glad that he comes home tomorrow evening...
