Everyone is there to see the amazing shows relating to world history. Each show is done on an enormous scale with huge amounts of people, amazing animal tricks and real life stunts. Each show is about 45 minutes long before you run off to get in line for the next show. Also on the grounds are a medieval city with working carpenters, leather makers, etc, as well as an 18th century city and a 19th century city. Just incredible. It was certainly obvious that you were in a French theme park versus an American one (even though I saw more people walking and eating today than I have seen total in the rest of our time in France) because everything wasn't labeled carefully for your safety. Things were authentically reproduced rather than "Disney-fied". The streets were uneven, the ceilings were low, the blacksmiths were working on red hot metal just inches from the fingers of little kids, the various birds of prey flew within inches of the tops of our heads... The only thing that was really safeguarded was when they raised the gates around the colesseum when they brought out the lions. Fantastic! We felt like we were a part of the action!

A Day of History
Wow! We had a wonderful day today! Filled with Crusaders, Knights, birds of prey, Vikings, Musketeers, and Gladiators. Fantastic! Since everyone had the day off for the World War II Victory day, we took Quincy's friend Rafael and our three boys down to the French theme park of Puy du Fou. We arrived (after 2 hours of driving) when the park opened at 10 and stayed until the park closed at 7. Puy du Fou is a huge theme park filled with beautifully lush grounds, some hiking trails, some animal areas and lots and lots of people.

So you mean that people are expected to take responsibility for themselves, instead of blaming someone else and sueing them.
