Racing Against the Rain

Today we woke up to a very balmy but windy morning. The forecast was for rain and as the morning went on, the wind picked up and the clouds started to roll in. It was Monday morning which meant that I was to meet my biking group for our weekly ride. We grabbed our rain jackets and headed out, determined to ride as much as we could before the rain started. Fortunately, we got in a solid two hours of riding and even went a further distance than usual because we didn't want to stop and let the rain catch us. It was fun to watch the clouds out over the sea as we rode the trails along the gulf.

Despite the fact that we are all looking at our move back to the States with some feelings of regret, I will have to admit to being excited today. I received the school calendars and dress code information for next year. It was so exciting to be able to plan and understand exactly what was to be expected of us! We haven't had that feeling in more than two years!
These pictures were from our biking today...
