A Girl Day!

I so rarely get to spend time with just Tabitha. Today, we had the whole morning to ourselves however, and it was great. Tomorrow is L'Ascension holiday in France so everything is closed and everyone gets the day off. Friday is then a "bridge" holiday where most people take the day off and just enjoy a four day weekend. Because the kids will have both Thursday and Friday off, the powers that be decided that elementary school age kids should go to school for a full day today to make up for one of those days. Max and Calvin don't usually have school on Wednesday so it was a change for them. Quincy had his usual half day today and since today fell on Tabitha's every other Wednesday off, she and I were home alone together. We decided to go shopping. Somehow, our long and leggy twelve year old has outgrown every bit of clothes that she has so it was time to buy some new. We had a great time. Of course, we also had to hit the local chocolate shop where they always have free goodies out for "dégustation" or tasting, for those of you that do not know this important French word. Max and Calvin didn't mind school too much today since they made the day a field day. Their school competed in all sorts of track and field events against 4 other local schools at a nearby stadium. They enjoyed a picnic lunch and a beautiful sunny day in the 70's. Very nice...

Is this the chocolate shop where you get the coffee with homemade caramel to pour in it?
