Playing Tour Guide

Today was back to school and work for the kids and Josh, so Marc and I struck out on our own. I played the role of tour guide to show him around our little bit of Brittany. We took a walking tour of Vannes, to see the historic section of town, in addition to the port.

After a quick lunch at home, we then drove out to the peninsula of Quiberon to take an 8 kilometer hike to see the rocky coast and a couple of little villages.

We also saw a little chapel originally built in the 11th century (notice the boat which hangs above the altar) and a couple of dolmens.

It was a beautiful day and actually warm enough that we did not need jackets all day long! A very rare occasion.
