Yes, believe it or not.... Our kids are off of school yet again. We just returned on the 28th of April after a two week break and as of today, the kids have 6 days in a row off. Tomorrow is a holiday celebrating the end of World War II so everyone is off and everything is closed. On Friday, the schools are closed again just as a sort of bridge to the weekend - so Josh has also taken Friday off. On Monday, we are celebrating Pentecost, so again, everything is closed and there is no school! And of course, today is Wednesday so our kids did not have school. We briefly considered taking a trip during this time and maybe taking that trip to Spain which got cancelled when we went to the US instead in April. However, the kids begged us to just stay home and relax so..... We will just do some little day trips to enjoy our little area.
We had a great day today! It reached 80 degrees and was sunny all day long. We took Coco back to the vet to get her stitches taken out and the plastic protective cone off of her head. She was so happy and excited to have her freedom back!! After the vet, we hit the open air market hard. We stocked up on strawberries, cherries, peaches, baguettes, artichokes (which we steamed and enjoyed for dinner - Brittany is known for it's artichokes), Camembert cheese, and asparagus. Delicious! After walking home and enjoying our fresh produce for lunch, we took off for our favorite beach on Presqu'île de Rhuys! It's about a 20 minute drive but on the ocean side of a peninsula and just a huge expanse of beautiful sand to play in and big rocks to climb!
We spent a fantastic couple of hours in the sand before heading home.
Hopefully tomorrow will be just as nice!
