A Different Pope?

Gosh, it's the little things that you would never think about that just throw you so off guard!! Today, I had invited my friend, Valerie, over for coffee so that I could introduce her to Josh's mom.... While talking, for some reason, we started talking about the Pope.... Valerie asked us what we call the current Pope? I was so confused... what would we call him other than Pope Benedict XVI? She then proceeded to tell us that in France, he is called Pope Benoît XVI! I never thought in a million years that we would have different names for someone! But, since neither are his real name, I guess no one can claim that they are more right than the next guy! Very interesting....
After sharing lunch with the kids at home today, Janis and I did some grocery shopping and then headed out to my favorite little town of Auray. We had a wonderful time walking around the hilly cobblestone streets of the old town and port of St. Goustan. We also explored the 15th century church of St. Goustan, the city wall that was built in the 10th century, and the many art galleries that line the streets.
The most exciting that we discovered today, however is that we will be able to see some of the Tour De France this year without traveling far at all!! The second stage leaves right from Auray which is only a 20 minute drive from our house. Pretty cool!!!
