Various Accents

Today really felt like a summer day.... sunny with temperatures in the low 80's. After taking the kids back to school after lunch, I had my final private French lesson until we return from our various summer vacations. Edith and I started talking about why I have such difficulty understanding some people but not others. Edith reminded me that there are various accents around France, depending on what part of the country you are from. I commented on the fact that I don't even know enough French to be able to determine if someone has a different accent or not! In connection with this train of thought.... I started thinking about my friend, Valerie's kids..... Three of her four boys will be spending 3 weeks this summer working on their English skills. One of the boys will come to Indiana with us, one will spend 3 weeks with a host family in east Texas, and one will go to camp in England!! Talk about different accents!! They might all be speaking English at the end of the time but might not even be able to understand each other!
Since so much of my Tuesdays are spent in my car, driving back and forth to Sene to take the boys to and from school, and home for lunch.... I decided to just take pictures of the varied sights that I see along this 20 minute drive....
Josh has been in Paris all day for work. He took a 5:20 a.m. train and will return after a full day's work at 10:30 p.m.
